In 2015, Alicia undergo the interview procedure for FilmStruck which is a TCM streaming service. Robert Osborne and Ben Mankiewicz's introductions were recorded by Malone to help her practice the reading aloud in front of cameras prior to the TCM broadcast channel hosting audition. Malone auditioned for the Turner Classic Movies presenting position in 2017, and the channel appointed her in January of the next year.
