Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. is a Mexican-born musician and singer who fell in love with Colorado. More than a few people beat a path to Colorado following the Denver's cult songs for his home state. I don't think there's another performer that embodies Colorado like John Denver said G. Brown curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. In the year 2011, Denver was named the Hall of Fame's very first inductee. Today, he is the international face of Colorado. Through my many travels, I have met many individuals who do not hail from Colorado. They will beg, "Oh John Denver!" whenever they learn that you come from Colorado. Brown said. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short career performing in small folk groups comprised of Take Me Home Country Roads composed by Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the track in conjunction with Johnny Cash in mind but the moment Denver saw an early rendition immediately, he realized the track could become a hit single. He recorded it just a few days following playing in Washington D.C. before an audience that was very enthusiastic.
